From Geneva 225km, from Basel 158km, from Bern 66km, and from Zürich 129km (via Brünig) or 197km (via Bern). So if you arrive from Zürich, you can choose between two routes, via Brünig or via Bern. The route via Brünig is shorter and drives past beautiful sceneries over the Brünigpass, but has many curves. The route over Bern takes the longer highway, but is easy to drive.
The minibus journey ends in Lauterbrunnen, where you park the minibus in the Lauterbrunnen parking garage and get onto the Wengernalp train.

In the winter time, Wengen is an ideal starting point for the family-friendly skiing area Kleine Scheidegg-Männlichen and its 110km of mostly easy to middle level slopes, and its world-renowned world cup downhill run at the Lauberhorn. The neighbouring skiing areas of the Jungfrau region, Grindelwald-First and Mürren-Schilthorn are in easy reach. The clean air, the long hours of sunshine (even in the winter), the toboggan runs and around 50km of winter hiking trails makes this sunny town a very attractive option even for those who do not ski.
